23 May 2025QODA Consulting have opportunities for Senior Mechanical and Electrical designers who are enthusiastic, proactive, passionate people with a track record for successfully delivering high quality services designs across a range of different sectors.Our London office has an immediate opening for full-time Senior Mechanical and Electrical Design Engineers to grow and support the existing engineering team.As a member of the London engineering team, you will report to a line manager at Associate or Director level. You will be responsible for supporting work on a range of projects whilst mentoring more junior team members. You will be aware of and be using current industry benchmarks as well as internal standards. Your role will be to ensure the timely delivery of accurate project information and provide a point of contact between the engineering staff and the in-house /external Revit / CAD team.Key accountabilities:Demonstrate reasonable knowledge in Mechanical and Electrical engineeringActively commit to developing specialist skills in one or more disciplinesContinued development via CPD‘s of all relevant disciplinesDemonstrate commercial awareness on a project basisDetailed and accurate calculations and drawings in relevant disciplinesDevelop, present and deliver technical solutions in accordance with client briefLiaise with Clients, Architects and other members of the external design teamSupporting other members of the project teamsWorking and delivering designs within program time scalesMaintain overview of project work and provide updates as and when required to line manager/project managerReport any feedback or issues concerning the project from clientsDevelop relationships with external team members for Business Development opportunitiesWe are offering the following:Pension with 8% company contribution25 days paid leaveDeath in service insurancePayment of one professional membership subscriptionCycle to work schemeA hybrid work environmentElectric vehicle purchase schemeExcellent opportunities for career growthContinued personal development and trainingWe are looking for enthusiastic, proactive, motivated engineers with various levels of experience of working within an MEP design office with the ability to be both a team player and to self-manage under limited supervision.Good presentation and interpersonal skills, plus being comfortable working with colleagues, with external design team members and clients of all levels.Requirements and ideal skills:A degree in Mechanical or Electrical EngineeringDemonstration of good oral and written skillsWorking towards relevant professional qualificationsMinimum two years’ experience within an engineering environmentExperience across a wide variety of project workPractical knowledge of project work coupled with an understanding of project management toolsUnderstanding of the deliverables associated with projects within the public and private sectorUnderstanding of project co-ordinationTeam playerAppreciates the need for the application of consistent standards and metricsAbility to work under limited supervisionAbility to manage workloadExperience with BluebeamExperience with CAD and RevitExperience using IES of HEVACOMP software packagesWe have opportunities in the following regional offices:London, OxfordshireStudies have shown that women and people of colour are less likely to apply for jobs unless they meet every single qualification.
