The position will support the finance function through a significant period of change, focusing on systems implementation and embedding updated accounting policies across processes and reporting, while working closely with key stakeholders across the business.Main Duties:As an Interim Senior Project Accountant, your main duties include:Assess the impact of updated accounting requirements on revenue streams, contracts, and lease arrangements.Lead and Implement revised FRS 102 revenue recognition requirementsReview existing accounting policies and identify required changes under revised standards.Analyse contracts and financial data to determine impacts on revenue recognition and lease accounting.Support the development and documentation of updated accounting policies and transition approaches.Quantify transition adjustments and prepare supporting journals and accounting papers.Assist in establishing sustainable frameworks for ongoing revenue and lease accounting compliance.Support the implementation of revised processes, controls, and finance system updates.Review and enhance internal controls and assist with updates to financial reporting and month-end procedures.Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g., Finance, Legal, Operations, ..... full job details .....
