Housing Options Officer

Join our client located in Ashfield as a Housing Options Officer and make a real difference in the lives of those facing housing challenges. In this permanent role, you''ll be at the forefront of preventing and relieving homelessness, working closely with individuals to explore their options and provide personalized support. 

Preferred Requirements:

• Assess the needs of clients, exploring housing options and making informed decisions to support them
• Conduct risk assessments and make necessary referrals to enable clients to access all available housing options
• Engage with clients and multiagency staff through various communication channels, including in-person, over the phone, and via Teams
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of the Housing Act 1996 Part 7, as amended by the Homeless Reduction Act 2017
• Possess excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills to navigate complex housing cases
