Disability and Welfare Administrator

Disability and Welfare Administrator Part time (21 hrs/wk), permanent Split place of work between Horizons (Reading, Berkshire) and Home Salary circa £15,600 pa plus benefits (£26,000 pa FTE) Applicants are required to submit a current CV, cover letter or email, and a Recruitment Check Form which can be found on our website. We are looking for a motivated self-starter to join our friendly and supportive Disability and Welfare team. You will provide administrative support to the team and help students to ensure they are safe and well supported throughout their studies. You will have the opportunity to be involved in the processing and setting up of support plans, minute taking, ESFA compliance checks and raising purchase orders. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to make a real difference, ensuring our students have a positive and supportive experience throughout their time with the University. Your accountabilities and responsibilities include: Keep thorough, accurate and up-to-date records in relation to the student support required and provided, ensuring compliance with data protection legislation Assist with drawing up and processing of personal Additional Support Plans (ASPs) at the earliest opportunity in the student lifecycle Advise students on applications for the Disabled Students'' Allowance and other government funded support, following up on applications to ensure a successful outcome Take a student-centred approach to all work, ensuring the best ..... full job details .....
