What We Offer:

Your Role as Senior Support Worker:

  • Take a lead role in ensuring the care and wellbeing of each young person in your care.
  • Attend and coordinate meetings with schools, social workers, and local authorities.
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to support workers, including training in therapeutic approaches.
  • Contribute to the creation of reports (LAC, Placement Reviews, and Care Plans).
  • Raise safeguarding concerns promptly with the Registered Manager.
  • Manage and de-escalate challenging behaviour in a calm and professional manner.
  • Be a consistent and positive role model at all times.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to develop effective care strategies.
  • Administer and document medication in line with policies.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments to ensure safety and wellbeing.
  • Build meaningful relationships with vulnerable young people aged 8–17 and support supervised family contact.

About You:

  • Passionate about improving the lives of vulnerable children and young people.
  • Experienced in handling challenging behaviour with empathy and resilience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills – able to offer guidance and support (training provided).
  • Confident in using your initiative and solving problems.
  • A reliable team player and a consistent role model for the young people.
  • Able to manage pressure and prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Willing and able to work flexibly across the week, including evenings and weekends (shifts between 7:30am – 10:30pm).
