Branta is seeking an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer for a busy static site in central London. This hands-on role focuses on the maintenance, repair, and optimisation of mechanical and building services systems, ensuring safe and efficient operation while meeting all statutory and compliance requirements. Key Responsibilities: Maintain and repair HVAC systems, boilers, pumps, fans, air handling units, cooling towers, and gas-fired plant. Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPMs) and respond promptly to reactive maintenance requests and emergency breakdowns. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical faults efficiently. Coordinate and supervise external contractors, ensuring works are completed to agreed standards and timescales. Adhere to all health and safety legislation, statutory requirements, and organisational policies. Essential: Proven experience in mechanical maintenance of building services, including HVAC, boilers, and associated plant. Hands-on experience with reactive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs. Familiarity with statutory regulations such as Gas Safety, COSHH, and health and safety legislation. Experience supervising or coordinating external contractors. Desirable: Pipe fitting, plumbing, or general electrical skills. Previous experience in large multi-site or commercial sites.
