My client is responsible for the maintenance of the road network in surrey, looking after all the highways in the county. They are currently seeking candidates with a background in Hard Landscaping such as Block Paving, slabbing, patio laying, Kerbing, or Tarmac reinstatement to assist with delivering the Highways Maintenance work in Surrey.Key Responsibilities:Highway Maintenance: Perform routine inspections, repairs, and maintenance tasks on highways, roads, and associated infrastructure. This includes pothole repairs, surface treatments, drainage maintenance, and roadside verge management.Patching of potholesConduct reinstatement activities in compliance with company standards, health and safety regulations, and relevant industry codes of practice.Repair road surfaces, footpaths, and verges by accurately matching materials, textures, and colours to ensure a seamless integration with existing surfaces.Operate various tools and machinery, including but not limited to pneumatic drills, pedestrian rollers, compactors, and tarmac rollers, to complete reinstatement work efficiently and to the required standards.Prepare excavation areas by removing debris, compacting sub-layers, and applying appropriate layers of materials such as tarmac, asphalt, and concrete.Install, adjust, and repair ironwork, kerbs, and drainage systems as necessary.Assist in the identification of underground utilities and ensure the protection of existing services during reinstatement work.Hours are 7:00 ..... full job details .....
