About the jobBased in Kent’s centre of excellence for Pre-FEED and FEED, you will be part of our growing team supporting a variety of opportunities in Low Carbon / Energy Transition (CCUS / Green Hydrogen, Blue Hydrogen, Offshore Wind, Waste to X, Emissions Reduction) as well as traditional international energy projects. You will work closely with our team in developing the estimating discipline. The work includes development of cost estimates for ongoing and future projects. Our professionals work closely across the disciplines to provide complete and efficient solutions to our customers. The role will further your experience in cost estimation whilst giving you the opportunity to develop your cost engineering skills. We follow a hybrid working model that combines office and remote work, with a requirement to be in the Woking office four days a week. This approach supports the development of a strong and effective team dynamic within Engineering.
Skills and Responsibilities
Develop cost estimates
Support other business units
Collate and maintain company cost data and norms
Perform assurance and benchmarking
Develop bid evaluations
Perform risk analysis
Improve estimating methods and tools within the cost estimating function
In addition to the responsibilities listed herein, the employee may be required to perform other ad-hoc tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor or management. These tasks will be within the reasonable scope of the employee''s skills, capabilities, and role within the organization. The intent of this provision is to allow for flexibility and adaptability in meeting the dynamic needs of the organization, ensuring that operational requirements can be met efficiently. All such tasks will be assigned considering the employee''s current workload and with respect to their professional development.
Your knowledge, education, and experience
Background in cost engineering
Good understanding of various cost estimating methods
Knowledge of scheduling and planning
Experience within OandG/Utilities/Pharmaceuticals/Mining/Nuclear
CommunicationExcellent command of the English language in both oral and written communication and skills.
Behaviour / Core Competencies
Strong communication and presentations skills
Good ability in MS Excel and other MS Office tools
Knowledge of quantitative risk and tools
