Overview
The CI/CD Platform Engineering Manager leads the implementation and evolution of Virgin Media O2''s CI/CD strategy within Telco Cloud, ensuring test and non-production environments align with industry best practices. This role combines specialist professional expertise in CI/CD and automation frameworks with senior management leadership to drive execution, maintain KPIs, and foster high-quality software delivery processes. The team within Telco Cloud delivers across 4G/5G core infrastructure, increasing agility, efficiency, and reliability across public and private cloud, networking and service offerings, while reducing operational burden and enabling innovation for application owners. Our on-premises cloud solutions are hosted on VMware and moving to Red Hat OpenShift.Responsibilities
Act as a recognized expert in CI/CD automation and infrastructure managementDesign and implement frameworks for continuous integration, testing, and deploymentEstablish best practices for environment provisioning, configuration, and access controlEnsure alignment with cloud-native architectures, emphasizing scalability and automationOptimize automated testing coverage, leveraging Selenium, Grafana, and other monitoring toolsProvide strategic direction for CI/CD process improvement initiativesOversee resource allocation, governance, and adherence to quality gates before production deploymentLead cross-functional teams, collaborating with automation engineers and DevOps specialistsMaintain KPIs and defect tracking reports, ensuring transparency in development workflowsDrive stakeholder engagement to ensure alignment between business objectives and CI/CD executionHands-on expertise in CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and cloud-native DevOpsQualifications
