Special Needs AssistantSecondary SEN School - Emsworth, HavantAcademics are recruiting on behalf of a specialist secondary school for around 100 pupils who require a personalised curriculum to meet their moderate learning needs, physical, sensory and language challenges and who may be on the Autism Spectrum.They are seeking an experienced Special Needs Assistant to carry out a full-time, potential temp to perm contract. The working hours are 8.45am - 3pm, term-time.Due to the needs of the pupils, this is ideal for a Special Needs Assistant with previous SEN experience, or a willingness to work with children with special educational needs. You must have recent experience of supporting children in a school or care setting.As a successful Special Needs Assistant, you will be required to support pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis across KS3 and KS4. The class sizes are small so lessons are tailored to meet their individual learning needs.
