Corporate Lending Proposition Manager - Core role at Metro Bank (UK). The Commercial Lending Proposition Manager will shape the lending experience for Corporate and Commercial Banking customers, sitting at the intersection of credit, customer, risk and operations. This role ensures lending products meet evolving client needs while remaining commercially viable, operationally efficient, and within the bank''s risk appetite. This is a highly visible role supporting both run the bank and grow the bank priorities and directly contributing to the bank''s strategic goals as we pivot to corporate and commercial lending.Responsibilities

Review and optimise end-to-end customer journey, identifying opportunities to improve speed, clarity, and experience for staff and customersWork closely with Risk stakeholders Credit, and Operations to meet governance requirements for existing products as well as any new lending propositions across Corporate and Commercial BankingBe a key contributor in the design of the wider governance framework for the Commercial Lending products as we grow further into the corporate and commercial spaceExplore and identify new use cases for AI implementation to help streamline processesSupport product pricing strategy, including development of pricing matrices and alignment with risk-adjusted return expectationsCollaborate with Risk, Compliance, and Legal to ensure products remain within policy and regulatory requirementsLead delivery of product governance initiatives driven by business strategy, regulatory change, or customer feedbackMaintain product documentation, eligibility criteria, and controls to support a strong product governance environmentMonitor performance of the lending portfolio, using data and insight to recommend improvements or to feed into product reviewsDiverse teams really are the best teams. Understand the risks associated with your job and what that means for you, Metro Bank and all our stakeholdersCommercial Product Management Experience - Sound understanding of Commercial lending products (e.g. term loans, overdrafts, RCFs) with experience in managing or developing propositionsChange Delivery: Proven track record of delivering product or process change from concept through to implementationCustomer Journey Awareness: The ability to map, review, and improve end-to-end customer and colleague journeysStrategic Thinking: Commercial mindset with the ability to identify market opportunities, assess portfolio risks, and develop value-adding product strategiesStakeholder Engagement: Skilled in working across first and second line functions including Legal, Compliance, Credit, Risk, Technology, and OperationsCommunication and Influence: Confident communicator, capable of presenting product ideas or recommendations to senior stakeholders and working groupsRisk and Regulatory Awareness: Understanding of product governance, risk controls, and regulatory obligations relevant to commercial lendingBenefits
