Overview

Chief Information Security Officer - Managing Director for State Street’s UK and Ireland region. This role is responsible for improving protection for State Street’s UK and Ireland customers and partners against evolving threat actors and for driving security leadership across the organization at a large scale. The position reports to the SVP, Global Cyber GRC and GTS Tech Risk Mgmt Head and is based in the London office.What You Will Be Responsible For

This executive will operate at the UK / Ireland region leadership level, guiding the integration of information security into strategic and tactical business plans. You will champion the Information Security mandate from the Global CISO, partner with stakeholders to embed information risk management practices, and present to diverse audiences including external customers and clients. You will establish and monitor KPIs reporting to the GRC team to drive adoption of the Security framework across the organization.Key Responsibilities

Serve as key Security contact for the UK / Ireland region leadership team.Collaborate with Global Cyber Security and business partner teams to ensure security policies are addressed in products and services.Coordinate with the BISO organization to implement shared security solutions.Motivate and manage a team of information security staff; develop an information security vision for the future.Cultivate collaborative relationships with a broad range of enterprise stakeholders.Weigh costs and benefits of actions to identify the most appropriate path.Drive change by influencing others to adapt opinions, plans, or behaviors.Conduct ad-hoc security awareness to ensure regional awareness of current threats.Provide security leadership presence at risk committees on a cadence basis.Manage application risk and remediation prioritization for regional assets.Review and present phishing statistics with educational improvement tactics.Communicate complex technical issues clearly to diverse audiences, both orally and in writing.Demonstrate knowledge in information policy formulation, information security management, and IT risk management.Communicate security requirements laterally and upwards within the business; create visibility through security and risk metrics and reporting.Build the regional security budget to support implementation success.Execute Global Cyber Security strategies aligned to State Street risk and business needs.Participate in risk decision committees for visibility into regional security.Create and deliver effective presentations on project and deliverable progress.Provide regular status updates to the SVP, GRC on security-related business matters.Build positive relationships with clients to exceed expectations; work cross-functionally to foster a collaborative BISO community.Mentor and train team members on security processes, governance, and frameworks applicable to the UK / Ireland region.Provide business understanding of technical problems to enable executable remediation activities.Education and Preferred Qualifications

15+ years of experience in information security or related information risk management.Strong experience within the Financial Services industry.Modern technical understanding with experience developing and implementing large-scale innovations.Extensive experience in strategic planning, budgeting, and allocation.Depth with modern technology stacks – data science, machine learning, cloud (hybrid).Project Management experience leading large and small technical teams.Experience operating in regulated environments.Bachelor''s degree in a technical field.Critical Leadership Capabilities
