Supply Desk is currently recruiting on behalf of a thriving secondary school in Bushey for a full-time History Teacher to join their dedicated Humanities department from September 2025. This role is ideal for an experienced teacher or an ECT with a passion for bringing the past to life in the classroom.

The Role:
As the school''s new History Teacher, you will:
- Teach engaging and well-structured History lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 desirable but not essential)
- Use creative teaching strategies to make historical events, themes, and debates relevant and accessible to all learners
- Prepare pupils for assessments, exams, and further study with high-quality feedback and support
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the Humanities curriculum and share best practices
- Contribute to extracurricular activities, school trips, and enrichment events that broaden studentsandrsquo; historical awareness
- Maintain high expectations for behaviour, participation, and academic standards in your classroom
Weandrsquo;re Looking for a Candidate Who:
- Holds QTS or QTLS with a specialism in History
- Has experience teaching History in UK secondary schools (including placements if an ECT)
- Is passionate about the subject and keen to inspire curiosity, discussion, and analytical thinking in young people
- Demonstrates excellent classroom management and a commitment to inclusive teaching
- Communicates effectively with students, staff, and parents
- Has an enhanced DBS or is willing to undergo the necessary checks
