The Role:

As the school''s new History Teacher, you will:

• Teach engaging and well-structured History lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 desirable but not essential)
• Use creative teaching strategies to make historical events, themes, and debates relevant and accessible to all learners
• Prepare pupils for assessments, exams, and further study with high-quality feedback and support
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the Humanities curriculum and share best practices
• Contribute to extracurricular activities, school trips, and enrichment events that broaden studentsandrsquo; historical awareness
• Maintain high expectations for behaviour, participation, and academic standards in your classroom

Weandrsquo;re Looking for a Candidate Who:

• Holds QTS or QTLS with a specialism in History
• Has experience teaching History in UK secondary schools (including placements if an ECT)
• Is passionate about the subject and keen to inspire curiosity, discussion, and analytical thinking in young people
• Demonstrates excellent classroom management and a commitment to inclusive teaching
• Communicates effectively with students, staff, and parents
• Has an enhanced DBS or is willing to undergo the necessary checks
