The school is widely recognised for its inclusive ethos, strong pastoral care, and commitment to both academic success and character development.

About the School

This all-through academy serves a diverse and vibrant local community and is known for its clear sense of purpose, high aspirations for pupils, and strong values-led approach. The school places equal importance on academic achievement, wellbeing, and personal growth.

The primary phase is well-structured and benefits from strong leadership and a highly collaborative staff team. Teachers work closely together to deliver a broad, engaging curriculum designed to build curiosity, resilience, and independence in learners.

Staff benefit from:

  • A supportive and collaborative primary team culture
  • A strong values-based ethos focused on respect and ambition

  • Structured year group teams with shared planning time
  • A creative, well-sequenced curriculum designed to raise attainment

The environment is calm, purposeful, and ambitious, making it an excellent setting for teachers who thrive in structured yet nurturing settings.

The Role

As a Year 4 Teacher, you will:

  • Take full responsibility for a Year 4 class
  • Deliver engaging, well-structured lessons in line with the KS2 curriculum
  • Support pupils in developing key skills in preparation for upper KS2
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
  • Work collaboratively with your year group and wider staff team
  • Monitor, assess, and track pupil progress effectively
  • Build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues

What the School Is Looking For

  • UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching in KS2 (Year 4 experience desirable)
  • A warm, structured, and nurturing teaching style
  • Strong behaviour management and classroom organisation skills
  • A reflective and team-oriented approach
  • Commitment to the full academic year (September 2026 - July 2027)

This role would suit a teacher who is passionate about upper Key Stage 2 and is looking to work within a supportive, ambitious, and community-focused school.
