Assistant Accountant

Assistant Accountant required for local organisation on the South Coast Your new company You will be working for a local SME in Southampton who are seeking a dedicated, organised Assistant Accountant to join the finance team. They operate within a number of locations across the UK, with the head office being Southampton.Your new role Oversee Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger, and Payroll functions, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded accurately.Perform monthly account reconciliations, including bank reconciliations and resolution of discrepancies.Prepare monthly financial reports, ensuring accuracy and completeness.Conduct Key Performance Indicator (KPI) analysis to support business decision-making.Perform cost management analysis to identify areas for financial efficiency.Assist with external audits by preparing audit schedules and addressing auditor queries.Provide necessary documentation and implement recommendations from post-audit reviews.Support in the preparation of annual budgets.Conduct cashflow forecasting and ensure effective cashflow management.What you''ll need to succeed Full right to work in the UK, with prior experience working within a UK finance function.Prior experience working in a similar role, managing AP and AR processes, Financial Reporting and Cashflow management.AAT Qualified, ACCA or CIMA Part Qualified or Qualified by experienceStrong analytical skills are a necessity.Strong MS Excel SkillsWhat you''ll get in return You will earn a ..... full job details .....
