Laser Applications Engineer, Didcot, £35,000pa - £45,000pa plus benefits: An amazing opportunity has arisen for a Lasers, Optical Engineering or Physics graduate who has year or two s worth of industry experience, and a keen interest and passion for Lasers and Optical Engineering technology. Originally a University of Oxford spinout, our client has become a world-leader in the design and manufacture of complete laser micro-machining systems, subcontract laser micromachining and additional services. Due to growth within their Laser Applications team, they are looking to recruit a graduate Laser Applications Engineer with a couple of years experience. On a day-to-day basis the Laser Applications Engineer will join a high performing Laboratory team. In this varied role, you will be developing laser micromachining processes for customers as well as running production work for them. You will be working with our state-of-the-art laser systems which have wavelengths from the UV to the IR and pulse durations of femtosecond, picosecond and nanosecond as well as advanced motion control systems. You will need to be a hands-on and highly skilled scientist.
