This role is ideal for an experienced specialist who is ready to take technical leadership across flood risk assessments, hydrology, and hydraulic modelling projects, while helping shape and grow a developing water team in the region.As a Principal Consultant, you will lead the delivery of Flood Risk Assessments, hydraulic modelling studies and water environment reports for residential, commercial and mixed use developments. You will support project managers, guide junior consultants and play a key part in developing modelling capability within the Manchester office, collaborating closely with hydrology specialists based elsewhere in the business.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the preparation of Flood Risk Assessments, ES chapters and hydraulic modelling reports.Undertake hydrological assessments using FEH methods, ReFH2 and WINFAP.Build and run hydraulic models with software such as HEC RAS, TUFLOW, Flood Modeller or ESTRY.Provide technical leadership on model development, stabilisation and calibration.Deliver site walkovers, surveys and risk assessments.Support fee proposals, project planning and commercial delivery.Liaise with regulators, planning authorities, clients and design teams.Mentor and support junior ..... full job details .....
