Reed Technology is delighted to be partnering with a global IT and Cybersecurity Services provider, with an office in Edinburgh, currently looking to expand their team with the addition of an experienced Network Engineer.You will be part of a team who manages performance and availability of datacentre networks across several locations, playing an active part in developing improvement projects. The successful candidate will also be the point of contact for support incidents that affect multiple clients. In the future, it''s also expected for you to serve as a technical leader for internal and external projects.Key Responsibilities:Diagnose and solve network related issues, identifying proactively the areas for improvement and recommend effective solutions.Support the network infrastructure involving several datacentres and locations, based on routing protocols (OSPF, BGP) and several mediums (DIA, PTP, VPN, multi-gig connectivity, cross-connects).Lead medium sized client engagements involving equipment, deployment, network design, etc.Support escalation for incidents involving client offices, internal datacentres, cloud networks and remote access.
