The Role As an Electrical Maintenance Technician, you ll be responsible for the assembly, installation, maintenance, testing, fault diagnosis, and repair of a wide range of electrical plant and equipment. You ll play a key part in maintaining reliability across power generation and distribution systems, ensuring all work is completed safely and efficiently. Typical equipment includes power generation and distribution systems (single-phase/three-phase LV), earthing systems, switch panels, transformers, motors, generators, lighting systems, and circuit protection devices such as fuses, MCBs, relays, RCDs, and thermal overloads. Key Responsibilities Carry out installation, maintenance, testing, fault-finding, and repair of electrical plant and components. Work safely within company and statutory health, safety, and environmental regulations, including Permit to Work (PTW) systems. Interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, specifications, and equipment manuals. Update as-built documentation and suggest improvements to enhance plant performance and safety.
