Job Description

We have partnered with a contemporary menswear and leisurewear brand who requires a dynamic Design Manager.This is a pivotal leadership role, and requires a hands-on design approach. Your leadership and Creative Direction and Product knowledge will shape the design and development of future collection and will steer and guide the brand vision.You will have an in depth knowledge of multi product menswear and sustainable practices, with a commercial eye, yet you will have a vision for future trends.You will oversee a small team of both Permanent and freelance designersResponsibilities

Delivering seasonal collections, for the UK and international customersInspire, develop and drive the current design and development teamsUnderstand trends , not be afraid to take risks, whilst always keeping in mind sustainability and commerciality.Work closely with key stakeholders to deliver collections in required time framesHave a clear understanding of consumer initiatives, strategic positioning, target audience and be able to identify consumer opportunities, ensuring concept and vision is delivered for the target consumer.Oversee, manage, the development of fabric, trim, branding and materials in line with brand visionKey Requirements

Experience of leading a high performing design team previously.Strong Menswear backgroundGarment construction, fitting, and fabric expert.A strategic, logical and creative thinker.This is a great opportunity to with an innovative and aspirational brand.
