Secondary schools across Daventry are seeking full-time Cover Supervisors from September 2025 to provide consistent, high-quality classroom supervision and contribute to the learning and wellbeing of students aged 11-16. This is a dynamic, rewarding opportunity for confident communicators who enjoy working with young people in a fast-paced school environment.

• Lead classes across a range of subjects during teacher absence, delivering pre-set work

• Maintain order, manage behaviour, and ensure students remain focused and on task

• Support individual students with their learning where appropriate

• Provide feedback to teaching staff on pupil engagement and progress during cover

• Ensure a smooth and positive learning environment, following the school''s ethos and policies

• Contribute to the wider life of the school, including lunch/break supervision and classroom transitions

• Previous experience working with young people (e.g. schools, youth work, coaching, tutoring)

• A confident, assertive presence with excellent behaviour management abilities

• Ability to remain calm under pressure and adapt to changing classroom situations

• A strong communicator who can build quick rapport with students and staff

• Interest in or ambition to pursue a career in education - ideal for aspiring teachers

• A degree, Level 3 qualification or experience in education is desirable but not essential

• A sound understanding of safeguarding (training will be provided)
