Overview

SC Cleared 2nd Line Desktop Support on a 6-12 month on-site government contract.Responsibilities

Learn and support basic desktop and laptop hardware and software in a Windows 10/11 environment (HP, Dell, Lenovo).Provide Mac OS support for desktop and MacBook environments.Utilise MS Office (Office 365) and Teams.Support Apple, Android and other mobile devices.Understand wireless connectivity and fault diagnostics.Perform floor walking and assist in a Tech Bar environment, handling technical queries and walk-up support.Navigate the OS to locate and recreate desktop shortcuts; add printers and map network connections.Follow scripts to build and configure laptops and desktops.Perform moves, changes and set up workstations.Apply knowledge of server technology including data centres (HP Proliant G8-G10, Dell servers, Lenovo blades); backups, tape libraries, storage, configuration and hardware.Maintain Cisco knowledge and excellent customer service skills.Qualifications

SC Clearance required.Experience at 2nd Line Desktop Support level.Ability to support Desktop and Laptop hardware/software in Windows (W10/Win11); experience with HP, Dell, Lenovo hardware.Mac OS experience; desktop and MacBook familiarity.Strong MS Office products experience (Office 365) and Teams.Experience with Apple, Android and other mobile devices.Understanding of wireless connectivity and fault diagnostics.Ability to floor walk and work in a Tech Bar/visitor-facing support environment.Proficiency navigating OS, configuring printers, mapping network connections, and following setup scripts.Experience with server technologies (HP Proliant G8-G10, Dell servers, Lenovo blades), backups, tape libraries, and storage hardware.Cisco knowledge and excellent customer skills.Employment details
