Job Title: Technical Author Location: Manchester (3 days onsite per week) Contract Length: 6 monthsRole OverviewWe are looking for a skilled Technical Author to join our client on a 6-month contract in Manchester. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and management of technical publications in line with industry standards, with a focus on S1000D and 2000M compliance. This role will involve working closely with engineering, logistics, and support teams to produce accurate and high-quality documentation that supports both operational and maintenance needs.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, edit, and maintain technical publications in accordance with S1000D specifications, including authoring and managing Data Modules (DMs).Manage and update content within a Common Source Database (CSDB) to ensure accuracy and consistency across documentation.Produce Interactive Electronic Technical Publications (IETPs) to support end users.Create and maintain 2000M compliant provisioning data, including spares lists, codification, and supply support documentation.Work collaboratively with engineering and product teams to capture, validate, and structure technical data.Ensure documentation meets required quality, regulatory, and customer standards.Support the integration of technical publications into product support and life cycle management systems.Apply now for immediate consideration! ..... full job details .....
