Physics Teacher
Reports to: Director of Science Start date: September 2026 Contract: Full time, Permanent The Role To deliver outstanding teaching and learning of their subject and therefore help students achieve excellent results, and be a role-model/impact the academy more widely. Design an engaging and challenging curriculum that inspires children to appreciate the subject and its application. The ideal candidate will: Have a UK teaching qualification such as PGCE; BEd or equivalent and hold QTS status Be an outstanding teacher of Physics or have the potential to become outstanding Experience in raising or the desire to raise attainment in a challenging classroom environment Proven experience working or the desire to work successfully to raise attainment in Physics Have proven experience working or the desire to work successfully with students of all abilities Key Responsibilities: Plan, resource and deliver lessons to the highest standard that ensures real learning and students make superior progress Provide a nurturing environment to assist students to develop as learner Teach engaging lessons that motivate, inspire and improve pupil attainment Contribute to assessments, reports and references relating to individual and groups of pupils Qualification Criteria: Qualified to degree level in subject Hold right to work in the U.K Safeguarding statement: Ark is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people in its academies.
