Overview
Are you a hands-on engineering expert with real-world experience in press tool tryouts and launch activities?
We''re looking for a specialist with strong Autoform skills and stamping know-how to lead dimensional quality and cosmetic excellence across manufacturing.
Responsibilities
- Drive part feasibility and formability validation using Autoform, CGA, and thinning analysis.
- Lead measurement planning, MSA & R&R activities, and press launch dimensional validation.
- Oversee fixture procurement and manage supplier quality interactions.
- Support GOM/ATOS measurement systems and virtual surface analysis for cosmetic standards.
- Collaborate with BIW, Paint, and stamping teams to elevate process and product quality.
Qualifications
- Degree, apprenticeship, or equivalent experience in part quality & measurement.
Essential skills
- Skills in Autoform, CATIA (V5/V6), CMM, GD&T interpretation, and GOM systems.
- Strong communication skills with a practical mindset and ability to lead cross-functional teams.
- Full-time availability on-site across locations in the West Midlands.
Desired skills
- BPA process knowledge, die manufacturing experience, and surface quality validation exposure.
- Understanding of materials behavior in stamping and panel development.
Experience
- Experience of Autoform within an automotive OEM is highly desirable.
- Hands-on experience in press tryouts and launch dimensional control.
