We stay true to the freedom and flexibility that drove our success as a start-up, alongside having the stability, security, and roadmap of an established organisation.What You''ll Do:Ensure requirements of ISO 26262 are fully met for the project.Review existing safety case work products and generate new work products and associated documentation in line with relevant standards.Maintain traceability of requirements through v-cycle.Support development of processes for functional safety and ensure alignment with other relevant business processes and standards including.

Facilitate robust engineering process across the team e.g. DFMEA, FTA to enable compliant product.Work closely with firmware team to ensure best practice is followed and the product meets defined safety goals.Lead activities related to external review and audit of process.Support general product safety activities.Co-ordinate approaches with colleagues within YASA and other divisions of Mercedes Benz group.Support any systems engineering tasks as required by the projectOccasional travel to customer sitesTo succeed in this role, we believe you''ll need:Strong knowledge of ISO26262 with experience of delivery of FuSa in automotive production programmes throughout the V-cycle.Experience of systems engineering processes and requirements management.Experience with Automotive SPICE standards implementation.Education to degree level or equivalentor proven industry experience.Experience in managing functional safety delivery at a project level.Experience with requirement management (or ALM) tools (codeBeamer preferred).Experienced in the use of FuSa tools (Ansys Medini preferred)Experienced in the use of DFMEA tools (APIS preferred)Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and good collaboration skills.Though not expected, it would be very beneficial if you have:A firmware/electronic engineering background.Project management including use of PM tools such as MS Project.Experience of model based embedded software development (e.g. Matlab/ Simulink).IATF 16949 implementation.Our mission is to lead the design and delivery of the best electric motor technology available.
