Your Role and Responsibilities

As a Part-Time Teacher of Science, you will:

• Plan and deliver engaging and challenging Science lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (GCSE).

• Inspire students to develop a strong understanding and passion for scientific principles and methodologies across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.

• Utilise a variety of teaching methods to cater to diverse learning styles and abilities, fostering an inquiry-based approach.

• Assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and contributing to student reports.

• Contribute to the development of the Science curriculum and departmental resources.

• Participate in and, where appropriate, lead extracurricular science activities, enriching the learning experience for students (pro-rata).

• Act as a form tutor (pro-rata) and contribute positively to the wider life of the school community.

What We''re Looking For

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a strong academic background in a Science discipline.

• Proven experience teaching Science successfully across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 is essential.

• A genuine passion for science and a commitment to inspiring young scientists.

• Excellent subject knowledge across the science curriculum, with the ability to teach all three sciences effectively at Key Stage 3 and GCSE.

• A dynamic, adaptable, and innovative teaching style.

• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive and productive learning environment.

• A collaborative team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
