Stoke £25k - £28k 8:30am -5pm Fulltime Role: The Accounts Assistant will play a key role in supporting the Company Secretary and the Accounts team. This position involves managing the credit control function, ensuring accurate stock records, and assisting with month-end accounts preparation. Raise and process customer invoices accurately and in a timely manner. Maintain the sales ledger and ensure all transactions are correctly recorded. Reconcile sales ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies. Provide support for month-end reporting relating to revenue and customer accounts. Oversee and develop the company''s credit control processes. Monitor customer accounts and ensure timely collection of outstanding balances. Liaise with customers regarding payments and account queries. Calculate interrogate and accurately record stock levels. Ensure stock records are maintained and reconciled against financial records. Prepare and enter journals accurately and on time. Reconcile balance sheet accounts, including bank accounts and VAT control accounts. Support the Company Secretary with the preparation of month-end accounts. Assist with additional accounting tasks as required by the Company Secretary.
