The Role:

As an HLTA with a focus on reading and SEN, you will take a lead role in delivering targeted literacy interventions, especially phonics-based support using Read Write Inc., and ensuring all students can access the curriculum. You''ll work closely with class teachers, the SENCO, and external professionals to support students with a range of additional needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  Deliver structured reading interventions (including Read Write Inc.) to individuals and small groups

  Provide whole-class support and cover supervision when required

  Support the implementation of personalised learning and behaviour plans

  Adapt phonics and literacy resources to meet diverse learning needs

  Track and assess student reading progress, feeding back to staff and families

  Work collaboratively with the SENCO, literacy leads, and external therapists
