Job Description:
We are offering an exciting opportunity for a motivated Finance Graduate to join our Forensic Accounting team in Leeds on a full-time, permanent basis. This role provides a valuable introduction to the field of forensic accounting and offers hands-on experience within a professional services environment.
As a Finance Graduate, you will assist with a wide variety of casework, including fraud investigations, commercial and shareholder disputes, criminal matters, matrimonial valuations, and personal injury claims. You will work alongside experienced professionals, supporting real cases through research, financial analysis, client meetings, and the preparation of reports and documentation.
This position is ideal for a high-achieving finance graduate with strong analytical skills and a genuine interest in forensic accountancy. It offers a clear pathway for professional development and the opportunity to join our ACA Graduate Training Scheme.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in investigations involving fraud, corruption, and bribery
Support commercial and shareholder disputes, personal injury, and loss of earnings cases - Contribute to criminal cases instructed by either the prosecution or defence.
- Assist with matrimonial cases, including business valuations for divorce proceedings
- Help prepare proposals and pitch documents for new client work
- Review client instructions to understand the scope and objectives of each case
- Support client onboarding by preparing engagement letters, scoping documents, and completing internal compliance checks
- Attend initial fact-finding meetings with clients to gather relevant information
- Review legal and financial documentation such as pleadings, reports, and statements
- Conduct research into companies and sectors using public sources and databases
- Analyse financial records, including financial statements, sales invoices, and other business documents
- Convert and examine bank statements using spreadsheets to track and summarise transactions
- Assist with managing case records, including file organisation, billing support, and data entry
- Achieved a minimum of 2:1 in a relevant subject such as Accounting, Finance, or Economics
- Minimum AAB at A-level (or equivalent), excluding General Studies
- Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively
- A high level of attention to detail and accuracy
