Position: Mechanical Engineering Lecturer
Location: Andover Area College
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent (37 hours per week)
Salary Range: andpound;29,000 andndash; andpound;48,000 (depending on experience and qualifications)



Overview

A college in the Andover area is looking to appoint a Mechanical Engineering Lecturer to deliver high-quality teaching and learning across City andamp; Guilds programmes (Levels 1andndash;3). This is a full-time permanent position (37 hours per week), offering stability and progression within a supportive environment.

You will play a key role in helping learners develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence to succeed in further study or employment, teaching across a range of practical and theory-based modules.



Responsibilities


  • Deliver engaging lessons in Mechanical Engineering across City andamp; Guilds Levels 1andndash;3.
  • Plan, prepare, and assess student work to ensure positive progress.
  • Support learners through practical workshops and classroom sessions.
  • Monitor and track student achievement, providing feedback and guidance.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and course planning within the engineering department.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to share resources and best practice.

Requirements


  • A recognised teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one).
  • A degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering (or a closely related subject).
  • Experience delivering City andamp; Guilds (or equivalent vocational qualifications) at Levels 1andndash;3.
  • Strong classroom and workshop management skills.
  • Ability to motivate and support learners of varying abilities.
  • Commitment to safeguarding, equality, and diversity.
