Not just doing things but doing them right is at the heart of how we operate.ROLE SUMMARY: The Rights Management Engineering team is seeking a Senior Software Engineer who shares our principles. You will design and build secure and scalable solutions which meet our customers\'' needs. You know that applications are not static and must evolve over time as technology and standards change. You are not afraid to dive deep - writing code, defining standards around CI/CD, maximizing automation, observability and supportability whilst making sure solutions are cost effective. A confident communicator, you will lead with data when collaborating with stakeholders. You will lead by example and mentor more junior engineers to grow.Responsibilities
Designing optimized solutions which meet product requirements and conform to evolving enterprise standardsCoding secure, efficient, and effective solutionsDesigning and building solutions using Microsoft Azure and AWS capabilitiesAdopting DevOps principles to code, build and implement solutionsProviding support for applications in line with agreed product SLAs - including some on-callEnsuring that solutions conform to LSEG test strategy standardsWorking with Product Owners to understand and refine requirementsWorking to support squads to provide accurate estimations for deliveryProviding clear and concise communications to the squad and stakeholdersInspiring and mentoring more junior engineersWhat you’ll bring
3+ years of Software Engineering experience usingo C# .NET (classic, asp, core) ideally using Entity Frameworko Databases - Relational and NoSQLo UI development using JavaScript frameworks such as React or Angularo CI/CD processes using Gitlabo Terraform IaCDesirable: Some experience in one or more ofo Python, Javao Atlassian''s tooling stack including JIRA and Confluenceo DataDog, BigPanda, Service Nowo Test Driven DevelopmentDemonstrable experience of building applications in Public Cloud - ideally Microsoft Azure and AWSAbility to design and explain solutions to complex problemsMotivation, self-starting and a ''can do'' attitudeStrong written and spoken communication skillsAn enthusiasm to learn new technology and approachesCloud certification or preparedness to undertake itAn understanding of the financial information domain is desirableA desire to collaborate effectively with stakeholdersWhat you’ll get in return
