Teaching Assistant – SEMH School (Ages 11–16)
Location: Barking, East London
Salary: £100 – £120 per day (depending on experience)
Contract: Full-time, Long-term

An SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) school in Barking is looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team, working with pupils aged 11–16 years old.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is resilient, caring, and enthusiastic about helping students overcome barriers to learning.
The RoleSupport students with SEMH needs on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
Assist the class teacher in delivering lessons that engage and motivate learners.
Provide emotional and behavioural support to students, promoting positive behaviour strategies.
Help create a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment.
Encourage independence, self-confidence, and social skills in pupils.
Experience working with children or young people with SEMH, SEN, or behavioural needs.
A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to supporting students.
Ability to build strong, positive relationships with pupils and staff.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
A genuine passion for education and making a difference.
Competitive daily pay between £100 – £120.
