Penguin Random House UK .Role overviewWe have an exciting new opportunity to join our Strategic Projects team as their new Change and Communications Executive. This role is offered on a 12-month fixed term contract basis, with hybrid working from our office in Embassy Gardens, London (approx. 2 days per week).What you’ll doReporting to the Senior Communications and Change Manager, you’ll lead internal communications on small to medium change projects and assist with communications (both internally and externally) on larger transformation programmes. You’ll be integral to ensuring that all colleagues experience a smooth transition to any new ways of working and are supported effectively through the change curve. You’ll focus on project-specific work, collaborating with the Strategic Projects and wider Group Operations teams. You’ll communicate and tailor messaging to different audiences, identify areas for continuous improvement and be interested in how change management and clear communications enable us to grow and do our best work.About the teamThe Strategic Projects team continually looks at ways to improve how we work at Penguin Random House UK. You’ll help implement change within a cross-skilling CTC (Change, Communications and Training) team, embracing knowledge sharing and ongoing training across change, training, communications and continuous improvement.The roleKey responsibilities:Managing stakeholder engagement across the lifecycle of a change project, ensuring timely and relevant updates.Reviewing project plans and creating an effective tailored communications strategy to help deliver change.Creating, updating and managing communications to a high standard, meeting tone, brand and accessibility guidelines.Drafting tailored key messages for different audience groups, including senior stakeholders.Creating a wide range of communications materials (e.g. presentations and emails).Leading updates to the central intranet, liaising with the central comms team, updating project content and managing the content approval process.Partnering with the Training Lead to ensure communications align with training plans and milestones.Tracking communication effectiveness through engagement metrics, stakeholder feedback and lessons learned sessions.Liaising with a range of business stakeholders to agree, implement and track change mitigation plans.Analyzing business readiness survey data and shaping communications to address concerns and feedback.Facilitating workshops and feedback sessions to co-create change mitigation plans.What you’ll bringExperience delivering communications campaigns and/or change projects.Understanding of project and programme lifecycles and deliverables.Understanding of business change management tools and techniques.Ability to work sensitively with employees experiencing change and help them through the change curve.Good attention to detail with the ability to organise work and deliver tasks quickly and efficiently.Strong communication, facilitation and relationship management skills, with written and verbal communication up to senior management level.Strong MS Word and PowerPoint skills; good MS Excel skills are desirable.Experience in a commercial organisation is beneficial.Application instructionsPlease apply with your CV and Cover Letter by 23:59 on Sunday 14th September.
