About the Role
Are you an experienced and driven Chef Manager looking to take on a rewarding role in a large and thriving school setting? Were seeking a passionate
School Chef Manager
to lead the catering team at a high-volume secondary school in
Beckenham (BR3 3BE) , delivering nutritious and exciting meals across
three campuses .You will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and service of fresh meals across
two main restaurants
and a
sixth form centre , serving up to
2,000 students daily . Youll lead a team comprising another experienced chef and
12 General Assistants , managing breakfast and lunch services to a high standard each day.This role offers a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic environment while enjoying a

Key Responsibilities
Plan and prepare high-quality, healthy meals that meet government school food standards
Oversee food service operations across multiple sites: two restaurants and one sixth form centre
Lead and inspire a team of 1 fellow chef and 12 general assistants
Ensure strict compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health and safety regulations
Manage stock, ordering, and budget responsibilities efficiently across all outlets
Collaborate with school leadership on dietary requirements, events, and themed menus
Maintain accurate allergen documentation and promote a safe, inclusive dining experience
Deliver service across breakfast and lunch periods to a consistently high standard
About You
Were looking for someone who:Has strong experience managing high-volume catering operations, preferably in a school or similar environment
Possesses excellent leadership and people management skills
Is confident managing multi-site or multi-outlet service
Has a genuine passion for nutritious food and student wellbeing
Is organised, proactive, and able to work well under pressure
Holds relevant qualifications in food safety and kitchen management
