The role is within Artificial Intelligence for Humanity.What you would be doing
Research
– As a part of the Dyson School of Design Engineering, you will actively develop and lead your own research programme, in line with our research themes and vision. You will undertake high-quality research and publish in recognised and high-impact journals/conferences in your field (commensurate with your level of appointment). You will pursue external funding to support your research, while enhancing the reputation of our institution through external engagements. You will initiate and expand research collaborations with colleagues at the School, at Imperial College London, and beyond.Teaching
– The School provides an exceptional learning experience. You will contribute to teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, supervise undergraduate and MRes/MSc projects, and contribute to development of teaching materials as appropriate to new programmes and evolving portfolios.Administration
– You will contribute to day-to-day running of the School, take on School-wide administrative roles commensurate with the level of appointment, attend School-wide meetings, contribute to student recruitment activities, promote equality, diversity and inclusion, and undertake other duties as specified by the Head of School.What we are looking for

We invite applications from candidates across specific areas of design and engineering related to (but not limited to) Human-centric Artificial Intelligence; Human-AI collaboration; Agentic AI and multi-modal learning; AI in real-world environments; Multi-agent AI ecosystems; Fairness, safety, interpretability and trust in AI; Applications with healthcare, energy, sustainability, business analytics, etc.Candidates are expected to demonstrate a track-record of executing research that combines design and engineering thinking, with a shared ethos to the School’s approach to societal challenges. The research portfolio should combine methodological contributions with relevant applications (e.g., transportation, networks, energy, sustainability). Besides research, the applicant should contribute to teaching in data science, machine learning, IoT, computing, etc., and have a flair for entrepreneurship and innovation through industry engagements, spin-off activity, or advisory roles.What we can offer you
