Part-Time Finance Director

to bring strategic financial leadership to the business.The Role

This is a hands-on and strategic role reporting directly to the Managing Director. You’ll be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial planning and reporting, providing insight to support commercial decisions, and ensuring robust financial controls and compliance as the company grows.ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities

Lead financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting, and planningOversee monthly management accounts, cash flow management, and reportingWork with the MD to assess commercial opportunities, pricing models, and SaaS metricsImprove internal financial systems, controls, and reporting processesPrepare board reports and support investor/shareholder communicationsManage tax, audit, payroll, and external accountant relationshipsSupport the evaluation of strategic projects, partnerships, and software vendor agreementsMentor junior finance staff (if applicable) and help shape the future finance functionQualificationsCandidate Profile

Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)Proven experience as Finance Director or senior finance lead in an SME environmentBackground in the

technology/SaaS/software

or ERP/reseller space preferredStrong understanding of SaaS business models and KPIs (e.g., MRR, churn, CAC, LTV)Comfortable operating both strategically and hands-on within a small, entrepreneurial teamExcellent communication skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervisionIdeally based within commuting distance of Birmingham for hybrid workingWhat We Offer
