Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer

Thetford | £42,000 per annum | Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week (06:00 – 14:30 / 14:00 – 22:30)

We are looking for an experienced Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer to join a busy production team. This is a key role within the maintenance team, responsible for keeping production machinery and equipment running efficiently and reliably through a mix of routine, preventative, and reactive maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

• Undertake routine and planned maintenance on production machinery to reduce the risk of breakdowns
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults and implement timely solutions
• Carry out emergency repairs to minimise production downtime
• Support installation and commissioning of new machinery and equipment
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, including fault reports and service logs
• Contribute to continuous improvement activity, helping to drive efficiency and reduce operational costs
• Work safely at all times, adhering to health and safety regulations and company policies
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to identify potential issues and implement preventative measures

Skills and Experience Required

• A background in maintenance engineering, ideally gained within a production or manufacturing setting
• Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge with hands-on experience diagnosing and resolving machinery faults
• Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems would be an advantage
• A practical problem-solver who is comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
• Clear and confident communicator, able to liaise effectively with colleagues and management at all levels
• A good understanding of health and safety practices, with relevant certifications or engineering qualifications desirable
