Management Accountant (12-Month Contract)
Location: Birmingham (Hybrid - 3 days office / 2 days home)
Salary: Up to -55,000 + benefits

We''re partnering with a leading professional services firm to recruit a confident and capable Management Accountant for a 12-month contract. This role supports senior stakeholders with accurate reporting, group consolidation, and ongoing improvements across systems and processes in a multi-entity environment. The ideal candidate will either be immediately available or on 1 months notice.

• Prepare monthly management accounts and support group consolidation

• Lead month-end close, including journals, accruals, and variance analysis

• Deliver insightful reporting to support strategic decisions

• Produce balance sheet reconciliations and assist with statutory reporting

• Partner with budget holders to improve financial performance

• Drive process improvements and maintain strong internal controls

• Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, or ACA) with 3+ years'' experience

• Strong background in management accounting and financial analysis

• Advanced Excel skills (lookups, modelling, preferably macros)

• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365)

• Confident communicator, able to influence non-finance stakeholders

• Proactive, solutions-focused, and adaptable in a fast-paced setting
