HGV and Trailer Mechanic / Technician Location: Southampton Rate: £18+ per hour (DOE) Hours: Monday Friday, 7am 4pm (40 hours per week) Overtime: Paid at time and a half Holiday: 20 days per year + pension A well-established commercial vehicle workshop in Southampton is currently recruiting two experienced HGV Mechanics / Fitters to join their busy and professional team. The Role This is a workshop-based position working primarily on HGVs, with occasional LCV work. Responsibilities include: Safety inspections and routine servicing MOT preparation Brake testing Welding and fabrication General mechanical repairs and fault finding Requirements Proven experience as an HGV Technician / Mechanic / Fitter Experience with rigid and articulated vehicles and trailers HGV Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) Clean UK driving licence Flexible and reliable approach to work Desirable (but not essential) HGV Class 1 licence Driver CPC What s on Offer Minimum £18 per hour, depending on experience Overtime available at time and a half Full-time, permanent position Monday to Friday working hours only 20 days annual leave plus workplace pension This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HGV professional seeking long-term, stable employment within a well-run workshop environment. ..... full job details .....
