Liquid Personnel is currently recruiting for a Children’s Registered Manager, for a role based in Chester.

About the role:Liquid Personnel offers a unique opportunity for a Children’s Home Manager to oversee a solo home for a young person with EBD and CSE backgrounds. This northwest-based position focuses on therapeutic approaches, providing 1-1 support to help the young person build relationships and develop essential life skills for a successful future.

What will your responsibilities be?

Oversee the daily operations of the children’s home, including managing staff, budget, and resources.

Lead the staff team proactively, in conjunction with the deputy, to create and maintain a safe, warm environment where children and young people can achieve positive outcomes.

Provide leadership and guidance to staff, including conducting regular performance reviews.

Collaborate with external agencies such as social workers, healthcare providers, and education professionals to ensure high-quality care and support for each child.

Ensure the home is a safe and welcoming environment, respecting and prioritizing the needs and preferences of the young people.

Maintain accurate records and reports, and complete administrative tasks efficiently and in a timely manner.

Qualifications and experience:

A minimum of 2 years’ experience managing an Ofsted-registered children’s home.

Level 5 in Leadership and Management – Residential childcare (or equivalent).

Thorough understanding of Ofsted regulations, legislations, and standards relating to residential care homes for children.

Excellent leadership and management skills, including motivating and inspiring a team.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with staff, young people, and external stakeholders.

Physical intervention experience or willingness to undertake practical training.
