About the companyI am currently recruiting on behalf of an automotive OEM, based in Essex, who are seeking a Technical Author to join their team Job DescriptionAs Technical Author, your main responsibilities are:Technical Author for Body and Equipment Mounting Manuals (BEMM).Using a documented authoring method, update or create new technical content in Adobe In-Design.Use 3D CAD data from TeamCentre / VisMockup to create layered images in Adobe Photoshop and generate new content that explains the issue / changes with annotations as required.Import the new images/content into Adobe In-Design and create a draft BEMM document for review.Use the draft BEMM to consolidate input from Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and agree the content for publication.When required, facilitate cross-functional discussions to broker an agreed consensus. Qualifications / Skills neededMust be familiar with Class Styles, Anchoring and Hyperlinks, Tables and Image flattening as a minimum.Expert in Adobe In-Design.Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Catia 5, TeamCentre, VisMockup, SharePoint, Microsoft tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).Outstanding communication skills, both written and oral.Awareness of language translations when creating new content.Prior experience of the ..... full job details .....
