Accounts Assistant

Sewell Wallis are working with a growing company based in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, who are looking to secure a new Accounts Assistant to join their small team. The role will focus on Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Bank Administration, Cash Management and Payroll. You''ll be an experienced Finance/Accounts Assistant who has knowledge in all these areas, you''ll be keen to develop your skills and delve into Management Accounts and Month End duties to grow your responsibilities and knowledge. What will you be doing?Matching, checking and authorising invoices on Sage.Handling expense reports and checking receipts.Processing invoices for both US and UK entities, assisting with weekly payment runs in various currencies and different payment methods.Assisting monthly and bi-weekly payroll.To assist with the annual audit.Quarterly VAT returns.Credit Control across both US and UK accounts and ensure invoices are chased.To support the Group FC with the annual budget setting process. What skills are we looking for?You''ll be part or fully qualified AAT.Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant role (or similar)Excellent Excel and Microsoft skills.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Problem solver with an analytical and methodical approach.The ability to manage a fast paced environment, being able to organise and prioritise with your workload.
