About the School:
We are partnering with a respected Secondary School in Hemel Hempstead, renowned for offering a comprehensive and well-rounded curriculum in a nurturing, inclusive setting. The school is looking for a passionate and dedicated Humanities Teacher to join the team in September, teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4. Specialisms in History, Geography, or Religious Education (RE) are welcome.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality Humanities lessons that inspire and challenge students
Teach across KS3 and KS4 (with the potential for KS5, depending on experience)
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports students’ diverse needs
Monitor student progress, provide constructive feedback, and help them achieve their targets
Differentiate lessons to cater to students of varying abilities
Contribute to the development of the curriculum and department plans
Prepare students for GCSE exams, including revision sessions and assessments
Engage in extracurricular activities and contribute to the broader school community
Maintain effective classroom management and uphold the school’s behavior policies
Communicate regularly with parents, carers, and colleagues
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent overseas teaching qualification
A degree in a Humanities-related subject (e.g., History, Geography, Religious Education)
Strong subject knowledge and a passion for teaching
Experience teaching Humanities at the secondary level
Excellent classroom management skills
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare
An up-to-date Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
