Our OEM Client based in Gaydon, is searching for a Senior Vehicle Package Engineer to join their team, Inside IR35. This is a contract position with a proposed end date of 31st March 2027.Umbrella Pay Rate: £33.64 per hour.Duties: Creation of vehicle concept proposals in the form of vehicle architecture package layouts.Creation of outline component and system proposals to further the vehicle package development.Definition and development of detailed vehicle packages at the whole vehicle or package zone level.Tracking and monitoring resolution of all geometric issues within a package zone.Mediation and negotiation between CoC areas to develop solutions for geometric issues within a package zone. Skills Required: At least 2 years experience in product development within vehicle integration or packaging role.Experience of CATIA V5 and V6 for detail or packaging design and geometric integration.Well-rounded knowledge of chassis and propulsion systems and sub systems.Experience of negotiating solutions in an area of technical conflict.Experience of using benchmarking tools to support idea generation.Experience of CATIA for detail or packaging design.
