Job description This role will report into the Cloud Platform Lead. The role will be an important cog in the technical implementation for delivering further services to the cloud. This could be to deliver solutions using traditional style infrastructure, or to support with more cloud native toolsets. There may be occasions where you work centrally and other times when you work alongside colleagues from a product team. This is a lead role, so you will be expected to be comfortable taking the SRE lead on large projects. You will have other engineers on the team who you will need to provide technical guidance towards, and there will be times where you need to train others in cloud adoption. Whilst this is mainly a delivery role, there will be some support aspects for previous adoption work, and the core cloud platform. This could include occasional 24/7 on-call support. Role Requirements You will need to have a strong DevOps background, and experience in adoption to public cloud. You must follow a good development life cycle, be able to communicate with both technical and less technical colleagues and be able to document both design and handover documentation with high quality. It''s essential that you have the right technical skills, with Cloud, Kubernetes, GitHub and Terraform key for this role. A mindset which prefers to automate will be essential too.
