Details of this position:This position is for a full time Multi-Skills Technician in prison education.We''re looking for someone to support the delivery of vocational training in trades such as plastering, painting and decorating, tiling, and dry lining within a prison workshop setting.Working closely with the Multi-Skills Trainer, you''ll help create a safe, well-equipped, and motivating learning environment where learners can develop valuable trade skills. You''ll also play a key role in maintaining compliance with prison safety and security procedures.Key Responsibilities:Prepare and maintain workshop spaces, ensuring all tools, materials, and equipment are available and in good condition.Support practical activities and demonstrations in line with City and Guilds Level 2 standards.Manage and monitor tool inventories, maintaining strict safety and security standards.Provide guidance and encouragement to learners during hands-on training sessions.Promote a positive, safe, and restorative workshop culture that supports skill development and engagement.Accurately maintain records of attendance, tool usage, and learner progress.
