Overview SD Travel are a small family based business, operating a fleet of 25 buses and coaches, providing local bus services, home to school transport and private hire in the West Lothian and surrounding areas.Based in Bathgate, we have two fully equipped workshops that carry out the routine safety inspections, maintenance and defect repairs for our relatively modern fleet of buses and coaches.We are looking for a PSV Technician to join our established team in keeping our fleet of vehicles roadworthy and available to work at all times. Duties Carry out routine safety inspections to our fleet of vehicles as per our schedule. Carry out repairs of faults found during safety inspections before vehicles are returned to service Diagnose mechanical and electrical defects reported by drivers, carrying out repairs to ensure all our vehicles are roadworthy at all times. Preparation of vehicles for MOT Completion of records for work undertaken Ensure vehicles comply with all the regulations required by the DVSA Skills Must have previous experience of working preferably with buses and/or coaches, but will accept other commercial vehicle experince Use of electronic diagnostic equipment Full car driving licence - a full PSV licence would be an advantage Be able to work under own initiative and also alongside other workshop staff Hours of work Basic hours are 0700 till 1600 Monday to Friday with an hour for lunch.
