Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored 1:1 and small group support to children with SEMH needs, including those experiencing anxiety, trauma, or behavioural difficulties.
- Help pupils build emotional resilience, develop social skills, and learn positive coping mechanisms.
- Use structured routines, visual tools, and therapeutic strategies to foster engagement and consistency.
- Work closely with teachers, pastoral staff, and external specialists to implement and review individual support plans.
- Maintain a calm and trusting environment that promotes safety, confidence, and personal growth.
Weandrsquo;re Looking For Someone Who:
- Has experience supporting children or young people with SEMH or behavioural needs (in education, care, or similar settings).
- Is compassionate, flexible, and dedicated to inclusive learning.
- Can communicate effectively and manage challenging situations with patience and professionalism.
- Is familiar with emotion coaching, restorative practices, and behaviour support techniques.
- Is open to ongoing professional development in areas such as safeguarding, trauma-informed care, and mental health awareness.
