Position: Mechanical Site / Project Manager Location: Bedford Salary: £50,000 £65,000 + £4,000 car allowance Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent A well-established mechanical building services contractor based in Bedford is seeking either a Mechanical Project Manager or a Mechanical Site Manager / Supervisor looking to step up into a Project Management role. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing team delivering refurbishment and small-to-medium projects (£10k £500k) across commercial, healthcare, education, and industrial sectors. Full support will be provided to help the right individual transition into a Project Manager position. The Role The successful candidate will take responsibility for managing (or developing into managing) mechanical projects from inception through to completion, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. Key responsibilities include: Managing or supporting the delivery of mechanical projects Coordinating site teams, direct labour, and subcontractors Working closely with the Mechanical Manager to plan workloads Procuring materials and ensuring cost-effective purchasing Attending site visits and client meetings Ensuring compliance with health and safety and quality standards Interpreting drawings and specifications Assisting with variations, reporting, and commercial aspects Supporting successful project handovers Experience and Skills Background in mechanical building services (e.g. Site Manager, Supervisor, or ..... full job details .....
